From Vision to Venture

As hobbyists focusing mainly on whitetail deer hunting, Top Game founders Matt Lampshire and Neil Andreasen missed having a hunting ground where they could permanently set up a blind. The friends started brainstorming for a blind stand solution that would be mobile, safely elevated, and conform with hunting rules and regulations.

The answer came as a stroke of inspiration late one night in 2018, when they first sketched out their idea for a portable blind stand on a nearby napkin. Fortunately, they possessed the practical know-how and welding expertise to turn their creative idea into a reality. After many more late nights of trial and error in the shop, Matt and Neil finally had the sleek and sturdy blind stand trailer they'd envisioned. Little did they know, this was only the beginning of their story.

When a hunting buddy saw their invention, he insisted on purchasing it for himself. As an impatient hunter who liked to be mobile and comfortable while hunting for his trophy bucks, he convinced the reluctant inventors to sell their creation. To their surprise, Matt and Neil repeatedly found themselves back in the shop making new blind stand trailers as word spread among the hunting community. Before they knew it, their hobby project had become a full-time business endeavor.
